OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation Helm Chart 0.14.3: App Version v0.14.0

The open-telemetry project published the Helm chart opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation-0.14.3 on October 5, 2026. The important change for anyone running the chart is a version bump: the chart now deploys OBI itself at v0.14.0, up from the previous packaged version. The chart version is 0.14.3 and the app version is v0.14.0.

This is a small, focused release. It is not a prerelease, so it is safe to pin in existing installs.

Chart now ships OBI v0.14.0

The main change is updating the chart to use OBI version v0.14.0. The bump came in PR #2442, applied by the project automation bot. If you use the chart with its defaults, rolling to chart 0.14.3 moves your instrumented workloads to the v0.14.0 OBI image.

The chart path stays charts/opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation/, so no changes to your helm sources are needed.

CI workflow bumps, not user facing changes

Two other changes in this release are dependency bumps for CI only: the shared workflows zizmor.yml and scorecard.yml moved from 0.14.0 to 0.16.0 in PR #2443 and PR #2444. These affect the security scanning and supply chain checks the maintainers run. They change nothing about how the chart behaves in your cluster.

There are no deprecations or migration steps in the notes. The only value worth checking after upgrade is the OBI app version that your pods report.
